During the summer months we use light gear to float fish of the local pier, Saltburn, for mackerel. These hooks are becoming popular for using with the small fish strips we use. There have been more Allis Shad this year than usual, all returned quickly, and we are often visited by a male Grey Seal. The seal is named Brian, and he can swim faster than I can reel with my old centrepin.
